GC12 Race Details

Registration:

Opens online on 8/09/2025 and closes 4/29/2026 at 11:59 PM, there will not be a race day registration option.

Race date/time:

Saturday, May 2nd, 2026 at 0700 am (mandatory race brief @6:50 am)

Packet Pick-up:

Friday, May 1st, 2026 4:30pm-7:00pm – Red Barn (Start/Finish) Stick around for some smores!
Saturday, May 2nd, 2026 0545am – 0645am – Red Barn (Start/Finish)

The race will start at the Red Barn in Glorieta Camps and a map to camp can be found using this Google map link. Old school directions – from NB I-25 take exit #299, Turn left onto NM50, cross over interstate to the T intersection and take a left (Oak Rd.), follow Oak Rd for half a mile to the gated entrance for Glorieta Adventure Camps. We will provide a map of the camp interior and location of the Red Barn in the race email closer to the event day.

Glorieta Adventure Camps requires a waiver for every individual entering the property as well as a parking pass for each vehicle. Food, lodging and activities can also be purchased. One parking pass will be included in your registration (additional parking passes must be purchased through Glorieta Camps) and we highly suggest signing the waiver once you are registered for the race and not wait till race day morning at the gate.

We are now adding team divisions! Hike/Run/Ruck as 2 – 6 person teams!!

Only one member of the team can be on course at a time and must finish the loop they start (relay style).

Select Create Team/Group when registering. You can create your own team or join one.

Military/First Responders/Non-Profit groups: Email the race director about a discounted rate.

Glorieta Adventure Camps offers several accommodation options at affordable rates including hotel style lodging, RV camping (full hook-up and boondocking) and tent camping. Meal options are also available.

A 3.2 mile single track trail loop encircling the camp (know as the Green Loop). The course will be well marked with confidence flagging and directional arrows.

Elevation:

About 280ish feet of gain and loss but no real big climbs or drops (per loop).

Cut off :

This is easy….12 hours.

Timing:

We will provide chip timing which will allow for participants to enjoy some of the activities around camp or take a break while still remaining in the race. You muse however, complete each loop once you start.

We will also have LIVE TRACKING, that means you can have anyone from anywhere following your race!

Aid Station:

Need support along the way? We’ve got you covered with a fully stocked aid station at the start/finish line and a tented area to store your essentials, replenish your energy, or take a little rest. We will have porty potties as well. Hot food items will be available starting at noon. While we will try to accommodate most diets, please be aware that there could be cross contamination including wheat, tree nuts, eggs, dairy, etc. If you have food allergies you will need to take care of your own dietary needs.

Drop Bags:

Drop bags are allowed at the start/finish. We will have a covered area for you to stash your gear with easy access after each loop. We are not responsible for any lost or stolen items. Any aid bags not claimed by the end of the race will be thrown away or donated to a local charity. That does not mean leave your trash behind! It is suggested you mark your bag to make it easily identifiable. Use your bib number, name, etc..

You may bring your own tent (no larger than 10×10). Please ask at packet/pickup where you may set-up.

Pacers:

Pacers are allowed starting at 1PM. One pacer per runner on course at a time. Pacers must sign the online waiver with Glorieta Camps and purchase a vehicle pass if arriving separate.

Sherpa’s/Spectators/Support Crews:

Crews and support are welcome through out the event. We just ask they remain out of the start/finish shoot nor crowd the aid stop/tent as not to impede other race participants. Sorry, no pets allowed.

Glorieta Adventure Camps has many free activities including GaGa Ball, Basketball, Tennis, Disc Golf*, Volleyball, Mini Golf*, and miles of trails available for hiking and biking.

Activity bands our available for purchase through Glorieta Adventure Camp and will provide activities that will include Zip Drop and Drift Trikes.

The High Five Zipline Adventure will also be available and reservations can be made via their website HIGH FIVE ZIPLINE. ( A discounted rate will be offered to our registered participants and their families/friends).

*You must provide your own discs. Golf balls are available for $1.

Pets:

Dogs are not allowed at Glorieta Adventure Camps due to liability.

Dropping

If you drop before the 12 hour cut-off, you must report to the race finishers tent so we can also mark you as finished and present you with your finishers award.

Awards and Swag:

A race 1/4 zip pullover can only be guaranteed if you register before 4/1/25. Other swag will be provided to those registering after. Every finisher will earn a finishers award with customized milage (based of what mileage you complete).  Special awards for the top female and male runners and ruckers who complete the most number of loops (mileage).

Refunds/Transfers:

We cannot offer refunds or transfers. The registration platform offers event insurance for 18 covered reasons for a small fee. Consider selecting that option at check out. (Please read through their policy as this is not provided through Feral Adventures).

This option is for those of you who enjoy carrying heavy weights far distances rather than moving fast.

Rules for the ultrarucker are simple:

  • You must carry no less than 20lbs in a pack on your back.
  • Your pack must weigh a minimum of 20lbs at anytime during the event.
  • You must check in and weigh your pack NLT 15 minutes prior to the official start (by 6:45 am)
  • You will be required to weigh your pack randomly at the start/finish of any loop. If it weighs less than 20lbs, you will be disqualified.
  • If you decide you would like to continue but not with your pack you will be moved to the non rucker division (this must be communicated to the race officials at the time you remove your pack).
  • You will be required to weigh your pack immediately upon finishing. If it weighs less than 20lbs you will be disqualified.
